Sowing Seeds Wellness Care

Welcome

I founded Sowing Seeds Wellness Care to be all about empowering families, and sowing seeds of confidence, presence, knowledge and joy through education, custom support, empathy and connection. With a passion for walking alongside mothers through the transformative journey of postpartum and matrescence (the profound, life-changing process of becoming a mother), I became a postpartum doula because I believe mothering the mother to aid healing and rest (physically, mentally and emotionally) sets the stage for current and ongoing health and wellness throughout the lifespan.

At the heart of my practice is the concept of cultivation, gently planting the knowledge, confidence, and tools to support each family to flourish. I understand that each family’s journey is unique, and my care is thoughtfully customized to meet your specific needs. Whether it's providing essential information, fostering emotional resilience, or offering practical support, I look to nurture the growth of each family by being part of the foundation from which they can confidently navigate the postpartum period and beyond.

Specializing in the 5-5-5 (the critical first 5 in the bed, 5 days on the bed and 5 days around the bed), I understand the unique demands this period places on a mother and her family. I offer practical support often in the form of light household tasks, meal prep, wellness support, discussing difficulties, feeding (both infant and older child), sibling care and infant care. Allowing mothers to rest, recover, and bond with their babies.

The transition into motherhood is a profoundly physical, emotional and psychological shift. To further support this, offerings can also include gentle movement recommendations, yoga and mindfulness practices, resource recommendation (local and online), customized nutrition education and meal planning. Ensuring that mothers are properly nourished, comfortable, connected, and physically cared for creates space for them to transform into motherhood and adjust into a new brain created to protect and cultivate their new little one with intuitive skill and confidence. An important aspect of doula shifts also includes emotional support, providing a safe space for parents to ask questions, share concerns, and receive guidance on newborn care, lactation, mental health, and the complexities of early motherhood. Whether offering resources, expert referrals, or simply a compassionate ear, the goal is to provide knowledge and reassurance that build confidence in every parent, helping them feel equipped and empowered on their journey.
